I just bought a very nice S&W Model 10-5 that was purchased new in Nov. 1964 by an old gentleman who was the town policeman in my home town for a couple of years!! With it came the invoice, a couple of transfer permits and the Sam Black. The fellow told me that it had likely shot a total of a box of shells. When he showed up for duty, the Chief gave another revolver to use and told him to keep this one clean!! The revolver is just like new, no holster wear. It has an evil 4" barrel. The man was happy to see his baby go to a good home. What a keepsake! He showed me a picture of his car, a 1967 426 hemi Belvedere, two door hardtop, black. He also had a pic of his grad class from training. He gave me a jar of once fired Dominion brass, probably fired from this and his duty revolver. I assured him that I appreciated having the chance to buy this revolver from him, and that I would not be selling it. I told him I would pass it on to someone who would cherish as I will.
