Only my second year hunting, and got skunked last year. This year I shot my first goose on opening day, and dropped my first deer (little four point buck) on Thanksgiving. I'm hooked!
The goose was one of only two that we saw all day, and the buck was one that we saw the week before but he wouldn't come close enough. This time I heard him coming for about 3 minutes, then he appeared head on at about 25 yards. He came to about 10 yards and turned broad-side...couldn't have been any prettier. Through and through cleanly.
What a rush, I'd only been in the stand for 20 minutes!
Gotta go get an additional seal now to keep hunting!
