Nicest shooting, with criteria

mag627, The Finnish Mosins I shoot are the M-39 and M-27 variants, I find the 91/30 variants far too long to shoot comfortably offhand (I dislike bench shooting and prefer standing or prone freehanded, sometimes with sling balance on the elbow.) I would suggest an M-39 Finnish for a good sturdy highly accurate and not obscenely long rifle, they were known for great accuracy and were produced after war-time to be match rifles. I hope that advice assists you.

I have all of the above and I'd choose the K31. Very accurate out of the box, components are easy to find and not expensive, smooth action, nice to handle and neither expensive gun to buy, nor difficult to find in excellent condition.

The guys who are sensitive to recoil, really need to get into 223 or rimfire. You can load the real guns down (e.g. a 125 gr bullet over a starting load), but they shoot best when loaded up.

Mauser Mdl. 71 carbine, .43 Mauser.

EDIT - never thought of that, because most guys won't consider it. A cool gun and I love shooting them (but I like the M71/84 more).
