I took MR.CLARK's advice and sent the 98 i've put together in 9.3x62 to Nick to be parkerized and..............WOW!!!!!!!!!! Its fabulous! Turn around was fast ,Quality unsurpassed, and the price was excellent!!! I took some pics and will email to MR CLARK and he can print for us. I'm too old to put em on here by my self. It started out as a 1908 brazilian 98 in 7x57 and when I took wood off to clean it was so badlly pitted I wouldn't shoot it,then I ran across a 98 barrel in 9.3x62 on an auction site and bid on it . I've got a good Canadian friend in Lockport NY who has a cabin near my farm and had it shipped to him and he brought it across as "threaded Pipe" Had a 1909 trigger guard and timney trigger ,so put them on too. the stock was from a Charles Daly 98 I picked up on Ebay for 50$$ and it fits very well. I shot some loads when it was in the white and recoil wasn't all that bad .In fact it was pleasant to shoot. The scope is a SIMMONS Aetec 2.8x10 and works well also, just can't wait for Moose to open!!! Our group(s) have both cow&bull tags this year so we'll see howit goes. I'm getting a little long inthe tooth(67) but figure I have a few good hunts left with my " BLACK RIFLE" JITC
