Nickel plated brass?

Thanx to all. I've been grabbing 9mm brass from the range there is a huge amount there. Gonna clean tumble inspect and sort. Use it till its stressed then collect more. I spent 15 min and got 1000 pieces.

I just got a lot of once fired .223, 9mm and 40, nickel plated brass. It was in a pail with a lot of sand.
Is there any easy, fast way of getting rid of the sand? Last time I washed and rinsed them all(40S&W) and turned them upside down on paper towel to dry.
Time consuming, but a cheap source of brass.

Get a cheap media separator. If the sand is dry, should separate easily like regular tumbling media, do it over a pail, most come with a cage you attach to a 5g pail.

Thanks TN. It got out 99% of the sand, but I guess I'll have to rinse well with water to get out the other 1%. I'm a tad anal when it comes to sand getting near my dies.
