Good day; Has anybody had any experience with this plating process now being used inside rifle barrels? I am most happy with that used on my XCR and XCR-2. It makes the rust resistant stainless rust proof to the salts from my hands. I feel skeptical about it's durability and accuracy on the inside?

I have no answer but id think any plating process would fit in the rifling and narrow the bores rising pressure untill it was worn off. I maybe be completely wrong though

Some of the electroless nickel coatings are super durable and will go on in very small thicknesses. I don't know about nickel boron, but I would ask about what procedures to do plating in the gunsmithing section, especially on moving parts, and then look for places who will do these services online, make some calls and see who will do this work on firearms or firearm components.

I believe there is a place in edmonton that will do this work, more info if you search in the gunsmithing section.

I've not used this coating in any of my guns, but the stuff does have merit for auto rifles & shotguns that see high volume use. That said, I've always gone with regular cleaning & lubrication to keep my guns runnin' well. Relying on a coating to make up for lack of regular maintenance is just not in my book.
