Hi does anyone know if the new NF G7 comes with a standard moa reticle out of the box.I know it lists the custom turet but I would rather a straight moa.tks Robin
I have one of these on the way as a trade. Didn't really care about the G7, was just what I was looking for in a nightforce, but it seems to be pretty handy. Here is a link to the gunwerks site reticle description, it is MOA:
Pretty interesting stuff. I signed up, and created a drop chart for my winch ballistic silvertip 50gr 223 (selected from the drop down chart, has a ton of factory loads). The interesting thing is the ballistic reticle page, you can slide the magnification up/down to see what the bdc marks equal. This load at 8.0x makes the bdc lines almost right on. I want to shoot it and see. Also printing the range card to laminate and put on the stock was very handy also
Im wondering right out of the box if it has the moa dial.I was thinking of getting one but I switch guns often so dont want to be buying a dial each time.I have several NF but like the idea of the covered windage adjustment.I also read somewhere that the older ones arent illuminated tks Robin
The turrets are MOA. I think the US version is common without illumination, for legal hunting in Colorado. I think most or all of the Canadian version are illuminated. Covered windage with a zero stop seems more fool proof for hunting to me as well.
Here is the standard g7 turret marked with MOA only. For bdc you have to order them. This has the regular illuminated focus knob. Non-illum has a low profile focus knob
