Im putting night sights on my SIG 226. Which Night Sights perform best in full daylight conditions?

Im going to a NIGHT SIGHT as Ive just found out that to compete in " DUTY" F/Os are a no no however Night Sights are acceptable

Why don't you get TruGlo fibre optic (daytime) that also feature built in tritium night sights. Available at TSE in Calgary for about $125-$150. I had straight night sights on my Kimber Tactical 1911 and they weren't much good in daylight although they show up as off-white dots in the daytime. I've swapped them for just fibre optics as I won't be doing any night shooting. Check out the dual purpose TruGlo's if you want to shoot day & night. Oh ya, I put f/o's on my 226 also.

Call me old fashioned... I like Mepro's; the white-plastic vial-enclosures are nice in daytime and won't fade over time.

I had the standard SIG sights on my P226 (the dot the I type setup) and I recently replaced them with some 3 dot Trijicons. I installed them my self and it was very easy and straight forward and my groups have gotten much tighter as with the stocks I was drifting from left to right. I much prefer the 3 dot setup and the Trijicon is very bright in the dark. The dots are big enough for day time shooting which is what I mostly do, but I hear that the Meprolights have bigger vials and dots FWIW. I got mine for $100 from Willwigspal a member here on the boards and I think he has the Mepros instock.
