Hey everyone, we've just published an article going over our first impressions of a new optics system developed by Rochester Precision Optics. We're excited to share this preview with you all as we were the only non government entity (so far) to be given the opportunity to get hands on with these pre production prototypes.
Optics are one of the most overlooked components of any night vision build. The ability to gather light with minimal distortion has a huge impact on the quality of image you as the user receive, good tubes with poor quality glass can look worse than entry level tubes with good glass in certain situations. This new offering by RPO offers improvements in image quality across the board while still being significantly lighter weight than standard milspec optics.
