In AB, and SK, AFAIK, discharge of firearms at night is a recipe for headaches.
I was informed that night shooting for predation control was legal in BC, but I would be checking that out firsthand, before I would go to the trouble of kitting up.
Other than that, I figure a NV scope amounts to an expensive toy to watch the nightlife with. As long as it's not mounted up, I don't think anyone could give you much grief for it, as long as you were not caught checking out the neighbors or some such.
So, I guess it amounts to a X2 on Check the regs for your area.
