Night Vision Scope Legal

In Quebec night vision is prohibited for hunting.
You would have to check your provincial hunting regs to see if it was legal to use or posses such equipment for hunting.
You could open yourself up to be hassled by the Conservation Officers if you were out in the field after legal hunting time has expired (IE: hiking back to camp) and they were savy/knowledgable enough to notice your night vision optics................they could say the only purpose for the NV was to poach at night...............

In AB, and SK, AFAIK, discharge of firearms at night is a recipe for headaches.
I was informed that night shooting for predation control was legal in BC, but I would be checking that out firsthand, before I would go to the trouble of kitting up.
Other than that, I figure a NV scope amounts to an expensive toy to watch the nightlife with. As long as it's not mounted up, I don't think anyone could give you much grief for it, as long as you were not caught checking out the neighbors or some such.
So, I guess it amounts to a X2 on Check the regs for your area.
