Nightforce: a dud out the box.

Maybe, but the OP is from Kelowna and Grouse River is in Kelowna.

Just saying that I would've probably made sure it worked in the store before bringing it home, avoid the whole warranty/return headache.

I've handled a Zeiss scope at Cabela's that had debris inside, I handed it back and picked one that was clean.
 
Just to close off this thread, incase anyone was interested.

The scope was shipped back to grouse river, in which they found it to be defective and promptly shipped me out a replacement scope. I have to say I'm very impressed with their level of customer service, especially from their sales associate Todd. If anyone's ever in the market for a new Nightforce id strongly recommend you speak with Todd at grouse river.

Not only that but Vortex numbers are probably 20:1 if not much much higher in ownership across NA. That coupled with entry and mid level optics....your gonna see more threads with Vortex issues.
 
Vortex are cheap $50 to make scopes from China that they sell for huge margins so if they crap out, you get a brand new one because they arent even worth repairing. So just imagine what their manufacturing process and QC are if they put zero value in even repairing them.

lol..yeah sure bud. Obviously you never made it past the Crossfire II in your travels, they are made in China ( Crossfires)but certain Vortex Optics are on just as many rifles as S&B and Nightforce in the hugely popular PRS shoots in the US and now Canada.

Vortex are on a lot of professional shooters rifles because Vortex probably sponsors them.

in 2015 40% of the top 50 PRS shooters used a Vortex bringing it to the top scope of the PRS. Vortex does not sponsor all of them. The pros are extremely competitive and there is zero chance they are gonna use a bunk product,,sponsorship or not.
