Did the usual inspection, and everything looked good, tried the illumination and nothing. Figured okay battery is probably dead. Got home, tried a battery from a working vortex PST, and nothing in the NF. Tried the factory battery that came with the NF in the PST and it lit right up. Is it possible I've just got a dud with a broken illuminated reticle?
To answer the obvious questions, it was bought brand new from grouse river
So it didn't work in store so you took it home and figured it may work there?
Hmm.
Don't be daft. He must've had it shipped to him.
In all fairness though, the only Vortex scopes that are comparable to the Nightforce ones are the Razor line. The Viper scopes are good step down in both quality and price.
Not only that but Vortex numbers are probably 20:1 if not much much higher in ownership across NA. That coupled with entry and mid level optics....your gonna see more threads with Vortex issues.
Vortex are cheap $50 to make scopes from China that they sell for huge margins so if they crap out, you get a brand new one because they arent even worth repairing. So just imagine what their manufacturing process and QC are if they put zero value in even repairing them.
lol..yeah sure bud. Obviously you never made it past the Crossfire II in your travels, they are made in China ( Crossfires)but certain Vortex Optics are on just as many rifles as S&B and Nightforce in the hugely popular PRS shoots in the US and now Canada.
Vortex are on a lot of professional shooters rifles because Vortex probably sponsors them.
