I'm interested in a NF and saw 3 of them in a local shop...however, this shop was not on the authorized dealers list at the NF site.

An email to NF themselves confirmed...this local store isn't one of their auth dealers.

Is it still legit to buy from this place? Meaning, could one of the authorized dealers be acting as a *distributor* ?

anyone can stock the scopes, the where bought probably off of TSE or one of the other dealers listed in canada.....

your store is probably not listed on glocks website either, but they still sell glock.

but I agree with the 2 links posted above.... ATR or TSE is awesome to deal with.

Any dealer can carry NF. NF has set up several distributors that are authorized to sell to dealers. We are one. The only difference is that a dealer/distr dealing directly with NF can handle a warranty return. If you buy from a dealer who has purchased from us, we will handle the warranty work.

Yup, although I havent seen any counterfeit Glocks out there...but have had plenty of warnings about knockoff Leupys and Nightforce.

Hence my question...

thanks for the clarity guys....Ive done business before with TSE, great group of guys out there.

appreciate the recomendations gracias

knockoff nightforce... that is new to me, I have owned a couple of the knockoff luepy's and will never buy another, had both crap out when mounted on a 10/22 for crying out loud.

I havea nightforce on my ATR rifle and love, better then a spotting scope :)

TSE also swapped out a NF with me for another one with a different reticle, no questions asked. Great service.

There are a few shops that buy NF as well as all other sorts of "limited dealership" items from big dealers in the US and have them shipped up "under the radar" so to speak.
Dealing with a known for that product dealer has benefits such as knowing they are the real article, tech support and as mentioned before warranty service
