nightforce or leupold rings?

near rings

I checked out a set of these at the range last fall and that has to be some of the nicest manufacturing that I have seen.

@Eliteboris: Things do go wrong sometimes. Did Leupold take care of you? I wouldn't mind hearing the full story as that is definitely not the norm.

Are we all going to start wearing rubbers because one guy gets struck by lightening? :)

I know, I like leupold and have may of their products. These are the steel rings. I am in the process of talking to leupold. Also I do torque my rings with a torque wrench to correct values.

I assumed you meant top quality.

That's a good point. I just assumed the OP had a price range that limited him to Leupold or NF. I mentioned Badger because I figured they would be in the same price range, although to be honest, I have not priced them in Canada.

I agree that NEAR is high end.

I hope they take care of you. Their warranty service has a good reputation. I can’t imagine snapping those beasts!

both are very good, one thing everyone over looks is alignment, match the rings to base
Leupold to Leupold, NF to NF, Weaver to Weaver they are designed to fit their perspective products and you will not get good alignment if you mix match

just my personal experance

Another vote for Near rings

I just put a set of Near alphamount rings on my 338 Lapua and they are top notch all the way. A little pricey but worth every penny. Richard is very good to deal with too. Take a look if you want a quality, Canadian made product.
