New they list at (about) $2K USD - so call it $2500'ish Canadian.
The original tax paid is on the previous buyer in my opinion.
No more than 80% of current list would be my selling price - so maybe $2K Cdn if it looks like it has barely been out of the box.
And if the warranty isn't transferable (don't know - some are/some aren't) then I would want a discount built in for that - generally another 10-15%.
All of the above is based on what I would "consign" the scope for if someone brought it in. And they wouldn't get the full $2K if that's what it sold for because that is probably really close to the wholesale list price (which is why guys try to sell it privately - I can usually get an item from factory for what many want for a used piece - the wholesale price is what the item is actually worth "brand new" because if a dealer has to dump stock, they CAN sell it for that and not lose money - that is generally 15 to 25% less then the MSRP)
