I don't really get the SHV line. For the price (with illumination), you can find a used NSX with zero stop and have the extra 2x at the top end. It's a 2lb hunting scope? If I expected to dial in a hunting situation, I would not want to have to remove a cap. I went down this road, fantastic scopes, probably the toughest, most precise piece of equipment I've ever purchased (was a G7 5-22). The VX-6 3-18 CDS/firedot I replaced it with is optically as good or better, does everything I asked the NF to do and weighs about 12oz less.
If NF could make a 3-15 on the compact 42mm version, and keep it around 20oz, THAT would be a home run for hunting. I'd buy more than a couple....
