hey guys im looking to buy my first night force. ya I know right im pretty pumped. just wondering who in Canada has the best selection and prices on nightforce.

Hirsch will have what you want , I like the guys at ATRS but they have said to me that NF has been killing them. They do not have the connection with NF that Hirsch does

HUH?
You misunderstood apparently. They are killing us because they can not keep up with our orders. We are the 4th largest dealer of NF in the world according to the NF guys.
Also read our sig line. We are the only Canadian DISTRIBUTOR and warranty depot for NF.
There are several reputable and well respected dealers scattered across Canada. Given the lead times that NF has on supply it is not uncommon to have to check with a few dealers to find who has a certain optic in stock.
I know Peter very well. He has my utmost respect and this not at all any detraction from him, but please do not post misinformation.

When I called to order my last 2 scopes someone at the store told me that you guys... for one reason or another did not have and did not know when the scope I wanted was coming in. First I wanted a new NXS250 5.5x22 with zero stop " 2011 I believe " ... Peter had it ... then I wanted the new 2.5x10 w zero stop earlier this spring ... you said the same thing and guess what ? Peter had one in 2 weeks ... you didn't !... The words that came over the phone to me ... and I quote ! " Night force is killing us right now ! "

Peter had orders coming in steady so I don't know what your problem is ... And being that when my 80 year old gunsmith dies ... you guys are going to building my rifles from there on out I would appreciate it if you didn't call me out as a BSer !!! Weather I misunderstood what you said or not ... the scopes were not there

Its not like Im regurgitating some 3rd party crap I heard somewhere , Its my own personal experience

For anyone reading this I would still recommend ARTS in a heart beat if they have what you need

To the the best of my knowledge, Peter is or until recently was the distributor for NF in Canada. That would explain why he always has inventory. Pretty sure he's got the distribution rights for sightron as well, lapua as well. The guy is on the ball.
 
Try hunts hunting supplies in gull lake sk they have been the cheapest for my last 5 scopes and they had what I wanted. Contact them at. ### or ###

Nightforce is always in a back order situation that has extended from 12-26 weeks over the last couple of years. With Nightforce it is first come first served. We tend to order infrequently but get very large orders so it is a litlle bit of feast or famine. Nightforce limits availability of product to a select number of Canadian dealers who have a track record of carrying quality products and looking after customers because they still can't keep up with demand. If your in need of a specific scope (and there are way too numerous models to stock every scope/reticle/special option) then call around and you may find one in stock at one of the dealers. Phil.

Phil offers helpful info with which we agree. We add, make sure you deal with an authorized dealer.

We are only a dealer, but try and carry as much as possible but cannot have every model due to availability.

NO offense intended and my apologies if it came off harsh. Was not intended as a call out.
We get a NF order in about every 5 weeks. We have to order several months in advance with trying to keep stock on the shelves. At $100000.00 or more per order I only can afford to order that often. We also have several dealers that pick up NF product from our inventory, which can play havoc with what we have or don't have.
NF however ships what they have available, not always what we are in short supply of. This can cause issues as well.
The 2.5x10s were a nightmare ( actually still are but it is getting better this year )as far as supply goes for the last nearly 2 years as NF was increasing their facility size, and getting another production line in the works specifically for their compact lines. For nearly a year the compacts were not in production at all so they would not even take an order for 1 if we or any other dealer tried to place it.
The other part of the equation comes in the fact that we are deeply specialized so tend to stock the models that fit best with out niche in the industry.
We typically do not stock anything in FFP or Mils.

Frankly if you called me right now I would still tell you NF is killing us as we still can not get product in fast enough to cover demand and we have a pretty large supply on hand, just not the 1s that everyone has to have as the flavor of the month. It never fails that a shop, any shop, will have everything BUT what a guy needs from time to time.

There are only 2 distributors for NF and Peter is not 1 of them. I do not believe the other distributor is doing anything with the line at this time so this could change.

Again it is important to clarify, not every dealer has every product NF makes at all times, so to check around with the various dealers only makes sense if 1 is out of stock.

I'm pretty pumped as well. I just ordered my first Nightforce at lunch today. After watching this thread, I tried to contact most of the dealers mentioned here. 1 exception due to the fact that I had an issue with my last order from them, and 1 that I just didn't, no excuse.
No one had any inventory of either of the 2 scopes I would have taken. I ended up giving my VISA card number to Bashaw Sports.
I was amazed that 1 dealer and a CGN sponser didn't respond at all.
 
I'll add this. I had intended on shopping for price to begin with, however when I discovered how rare it is to actually find one in stock, I panicked and bought the first one that fit the bill. I can't even tell you how that price compared to others. Just getting it here for next week took priority.
What can I say, I made an impulse buy earlier in the week and needed some glass for it, PDQ.
I still have another rifle that needs glass, so I'm hoping that Spartan comes back to me with some pricing that is only mildly painfull for one of their March's. BTW I did thank Spartan for helping make that post possible by loaning out a scope.
It's a little intimadating for a newbee like me to drop this kind of coin on a scope that I have never looked through. I just have to take a minute to thank Tomochan for his scope review. His posts and many others like his keep me coming back to learn more.
