nikko

I have a Nikko Sterling 3-9 by 44. I have had a really good experience. It is crisp, holds zero, and I like mine in that it has a 30mm tube.

I paid $260 new about 5 years ago, and I recently listed mine for 175 on the forum and I had no bites. Mine is in perfect shape, orig box, etc... Perhaps I asked too much, but I am not in a big rush to give it away.

Apparently they have switched over to China and the quality, as I have heard, went down. If the one you are looking at is 10 years old, it should be a Jpn-make.

I have an older 3-9X. Its a good scope. Made in Japan IIRC, good clarity, good light transmission and no imperfections. It isn't the equal of say a MK4 Leupold, but it has given me good service Moose hunting here in Newfoundland under less than "perfect" conditions. So far it has handled .308Win & 7mm Rem Mag rounds without problems.
