Nikko Sterling used to be distributed by Districorp in Montreal and comes in three quality levels; silver, gold and platinum, if memory serves me correctly. I bought a 4-12 X 50 from them back in '98. The lenses are quite clear and for the money I paid ($200.00 and change) I am happy with it. One drawback is that it is advertised as "shockproof" but I found that it gets knocked off its zero if it spends any time in a gun boot on a ski-doo. I guess you have to follow the old rule of,"When you get to camp - sight in." I use it as a target scope now.
Districorp has to be the deadest, most useless firearms and acsesoriess retailer in Canada. They haven't had any firearms for sale, other than Garand recievers, for several years.
I have a Nikko like the one you describe, it has the word "sniper" on the rear objective. As far as I can tell it is a twin to the Super Sniper, maybe a extra run of same? Anyways, has been on several rifles including M-14's and still holds zero and is very clear.
