I had to say mine experience with Nikon was pretty good as well (in the end anyway). I lost a cap as well. First emailed the parts people and never got any response. Phoned once to parts and left a message, again no reply. I then phoned parts again but only got the answering machine so then I called back and talk to someone in service. Told them what was going on, they said parts were super short on staff (only one person) and that is probably why no one was getting back to me. They took my info, emailed me a request for pictures. I sent them in, and within a few days I had a cap (well it was actually the wrong one, but a quick phone call back and a few days after that I had the right one). A bit rough but in the end I got the cap and it was free. Cannot complain to much about that.
