Nikon Monarch 3 2.5-10x42 Price check?

What’s a fair value for a Nikon Monarch 3 2.5-10x42 in decent shape. I picked this up in a trade but it just barely rubs against my bolt in low rings and I don’t want to go to mediums or modify my bolt. I tried to search the EE but couldn’t find any comparables.

Not all low rings are equal in height, if you like the scope look for another brand of rings that have a slightly taller low ring.

I know, I can’t help with a value on it but thought I’d give you an alternative to getting rid of the scope lol. Good luck with it though!

I paid $400 for a new one close to 10 years ago. I think they were near $500 to buy before Nikon stopped producing scopes.(likely cheaper now if you find one)I'd pay $250-$275 for a used one in great shape.

I was shopping for one a few weeks ago...if your scope does not have a BDC reticle, then you could ask for a few bucks more (whatever the amount is). Seems all the scopes I was seeing were BDC's and the circles seemed way to big to be any useful. I got the last MOA Nikon in the city (a prostaff 5, but I wish I would of been able to get a Monarch back then, just not with a BDC reticle).

The first one I ever had was a monarch 6-24x50 with the BDC, and that was the last one of those I got. After that it was plain Nikoplex for me.

Yup, one look at them at the store and I noped out real quick.

The MOA reticle is ok though.
