Cabela's has these Nikon P-Rimfire 2-7x32 on sale for $179.99, reg $259.99. I was wondering if these are any good for the money? if not can someone suggest a decent scope in the same price range, maybe a 4-12x 40 or something? I also see they have the Nikon Buckmaster scopes on, how are they for quality? Essentially looking for a fairly decent .22lr scope without breaking the bank, thanks much. Skokie.

Take a look through it if you can, but it's a legit sale price on a decent scope.

If you do a lot of close range or target stuff you might consider the target EFR scope with adjustable parallax. The webpage says 50yd to infinity but it's actually 10yd to infinity.

I have a 4-12 P-Rimfire II, which is a bit cheaper for some reason, and it's an excellent scope so far. It is very clear and sufficient for a rimfire. If you're going to do target shooting, go 4-12, if you're going hunting then 2-7. If you're serious about target shooting you could go Vortex Crossfire II and get a 6-18. Honestly I enjoy my Nikon and would have no issues sticking to that for .22. Just depends on what you want to do.

I got the Nikon Rimfire 3-9x40 last year. Glass is very clear, BDC reticle is useful, and the reticle lines are nice and fine. I would buy it again. Warranty is solid from what I hear.
