Nikon Prostaff for 1st scope?

Ok I'm finally starting to consider purchasing a scope to mount on a hunting rifle. Until now I've always used peep sights. I've been looking around at 3x9 models in the roughly $200 or so range. The Nikon looks very interesting. What do you guys think about it? Not sure if I'll like a scope or not,so I don't want to spend big $$$ on one.

I have one and Im actually pretty impressed for the money spent. works pretty good at low light too.

i have 3 and like all of them. never had a problem with them. i have a 2-7x32 on a 12g sliug gun, 3-9x40 on a 20g slug gun and a 3-9x40 on a .17 hmr. the 2 on the slug guns have handled the recoil and never had a problem with zero.
