Nikon Prostaff or Weaver 40/44

I'm looking to buy a scope for one of my latest hunting rifle builds and was wondering what you guys thought was the better scope out of the Nikon prostaff and weaver 40/44

They are both on sale right now at Cabelas Weaver is 179 and the Nikon is 169.

I'm looking at a 3x9x40 in the Nikon and the Weaver is a 3.8-12AOx44mm - Dual-X
 
Nikon and canon make great camera glass. too bad canon would probably have some sort of restriction by name...

I would love to see Sigma get into rifle scopes!
