Nikon Rimfire Scopes?

The prostaff rimfire 2 is a very nice rimfire scope in my opinion - but the target efr has an adjustable objective

I use the original Prostaff Rimfire BDC 150 on my CZ512 WMR. The scope is an excellent value for what it cost me ($170 ish). Tough scope and very clear. I don't use the BDC reticle for hunting and wish it had a basic LR duplex. Mine has 1/2 MOA adjustments which sucks for target shooting but is no problem for hunting. I believe they changed the adjustments on the newer version to 1/4 MOA but I would check if that is important to you. I don't think you can go wrong with this scope if you can get it for around $200 or less.

I have one with the adjustable EFR on my bolt 22lr and I think that it's a great scope for the price!

I have two of the Nikon Rimfire scopes: a 3-9X and a 4-12X, both with BDC reticles. Depending upon what ranges you wish to shoot, the Parallax Setting for the 3-9X is 50 yards while the 4-12X is 75 yards. The magnification levels and BDC reticles are intended for informal shooting rather than serious target work. For the purchase price, these scopes deliver excellent value.

Yes they are nice clear scopes. I have a 4x14x 42 buckmaster on my 22-250 and I love it clear as day. Excellent warranty too.
I had it on my 300 WM for about two years, until I sent it to Nikon in Ontario for repair, I broke the side focus turret. It was hunting season so I bought another scope for the 300WM, because I was worried about how long the Nikon would be gone. Well about a week after I shipped it to Nikon I get a phone call from them (Nikon) asking for my home address, I gave it to her and the next day a courier showed up at my house with a new replacement scope. That's great service in my opinion.

I can't say enough good things about the plain old Prostaff2 3-9x40 duplex, get em on sale for $170-$180 and have them on a half dozen center fire rifles including a 9.3x62 that kicks like a mule.
Nothing fancy but has all the things I consider a must in any rifle scope:
Consistent Long Eye Relief
Bright
Clear
Generous Eye Box
Holds Zero
When I need a new scope for a rifle I track one of these down. Good to hear the Rimfire version is solid as well as I need a couple of them in the near future. I'll check out that EFR.
