I have an older monarch scope that is no longer tracking adjustments. Is there anywhere I can send this for repairs? I have heard that Nikon is no longer offering warranty on their scopes so where to go from here?

Thanks!

I'd search this forum for repair. There are some persons I've seen mentioned who might work on a Nikon for you. Nikon warranty will just offer you a binoc or spotting scope. . . if you're lucky. I feel the Monarch is worth repairing.

They offer something they still make. You basically get a voucher to go towards one of their products.
Would Trace Scope Repair work on Nikon’s? Worth a try if you like the scope.

I had the same problem. Nikon offered to replace the scope with a camera or whatever else of equal value. I thanked them but was adamant that I needed a scope not a camera. It took a long time and a lot of e-mails but I eventually got a cheque from Nikon and promptly bought a Leupold.

Thanks for this. I haven’t had time this week, but I will try to sort something out in the next week or so.

I just sent in a Monarch 7 scope. They couldn't repair it. Honestly I'm not sure they even try. The guy who wrote me offered equivalent value on another nikon product. I just said there was nothing I needed other than a scope at this time, and they sent a cheque. The process was quite easy, though I had to provide a dated proof of purchase. Not an issue for me since I bought it new, but I'm not sure what they'd do if you no longer had it.
