Looking at a new 20x or more power scope any body have any problems and is the warranty any good ? I compared a bunch yesterday at a store and the Nikon IMHO looked as good as the ziess !

Nikon's are one of our best sellers. They have excellent glass, a no fault policy, and a great BDC. The Monarchs have a one piece scope body while the Prostaffs have a two piece. Nikon is also looking into getting their Spot On custom turrets into Canada, allowing for the turret to be built to your exact round.

They are a great choice that I don't think you'll be disappointed in.

Thanks for the search idea it was help full .no mention on warranty work would like to know lots of outfits have good warrantys till you go to use it.

Had warranty on one scope (turrets popped off body), took a long time but was eventually replaced. Have a dozen or so of them, no issues with any of the others.
Also had warranty issue with a lens. Same thing, took a long time, was eventually replaced.

Binos are good especially in low light.

I have a couple of Monarchs. Very clear and I have had no problems at all. A friend borrowed a rifle with one on it last year and after using it he bought a Monarch for his new .308.

I did see one with lots of weird stuff in the retical not really interested in any cross hair gimics I would get a fine hair anyway and twist the turrets

If you use the BDC for hunting its actually better than it seems and the circles aid with faster target aquisition.... if you are punching holes on paper than the circles arent ideal.... but use the spot on app and change the scope magnification so you aim with the edges of the circles at the desired distance and you can still have a precise aiming point... but its also a matter of preferance

I bought a Nikon monarch 3 4-16x42 side parallax , Nikoplex recticle.
gotta say, for the price point, one hell of a nice piece of glass.
I did a box test on it for tracking and am very happy I bought this scope.
super crisp and clear. I took 2 nice blacktail bucks yesterday with the rifle it's on ;)

thanx to Reliable Gun for an awesome scope and killer customer service

I find the Monarchs to be excellent for the price, but until recently, I hadn't owned a lower line Nikon. When I bought one of the Vanguard rifles for $399, I wanted a cheap scope that would still offer decent service, so I purchased a 3-9x40 Prostaff that was on sale. It isn't a Monarch, bot for under $200, it is actually decent optically, and it tracks quite well. I don't like the plastic turret covers, hopefully they won't get brittle and break in the cold, but plastic turrets are quite common in this price range.

Here's a Nikon "Glory Shot" for ya Nikon Travis ;)
2 nice BC region 2 bucks I took on saturday using my 7mm rem mag with the new monarch 3 I just picked up.

I bought the nikoplex, my buddy , the exact same scope but with BDC. Mine a 7mmRM, his a .338WM.
We'll see who likes who's better after moose and elk season are under our belts. ;)
