nikon scopes any good?

Yup, coastal blacktails.
While they might look small, the bigger 3x3 was at a good estimate, just over 200 lbs on the hoof.
But ya, true blacktails, a lil smaller than their Mule deer cousins.... But oh so tasty ;)

Their BDC reticle isn't actually that bad. Ya, it's a bunch of circles and lots of guys prefer the hash marks, but if you reference the points at the tops and bottoms of the circles...boom. There's your hash marks. You basically get 13 points of drop compensation measurement with the circle style BDC.

I have a Prosaff scope and Action binoculars, and for the price they can't be beat.
The BDC is great once you figure it out and get used to it. Very happy with both.

All that and the Nikon "spot on" website is really a game changer and provides so much useable data for the nikon lineup. I was gonna pass on the Nikon when I heard we couldn't get the caliber specific turrets but I'm glad I didn't.
I'll be buying another monarch 3 for one of my other rifles at my earliest opportunity to swing by Reliable Gun again ;)

Started out with a monarch 3-12 and no complaints, bought a couple prostaff 5's on Boxing Day sales and need to test out. And thanks to prophet river I now have every reticle in the pro5 3.5-14 :) adding 2 more, as well as an older titanium model. I need to switch out some scopes in the near future.

Anyone wanna buy a used vortex or 2?
