Hit the range again today and did another 60 rounds. No problems, had a good time. Shot up some old frying pans and coffee cans. The above video has the coffee can at 25M and the frying pan at 50M.

I'd like to get an optic for this thing. It'll have to wait a bit, but I'm thinking this:

i just got my 14.5" delivered recently. have to say the fit and finish is excellent.. im not sure i could find a tooling mark if i tried. i was expecting a so-so finish after reading soo much negativity.. but honestly, im stoked with this rifle.

and the action is butter smooth..

It's a Sony Alpha A200(10.2MP) I bought in 2007. It's getting a little long in the tooth, but still takes a good pic. It's taken tens of thousands of shots. The key is it's Zeiss SAL 1680Z lens (16-80mm f/3.5-4.5 Zoom) I'm wanting to upgrade to a Sony A35, the lens will go onto that one.

The Trijicon post is OK to 50M. The stock post is quite narrow and would be good for further distances.

I am really leaning toward the 1.5X ACOG. I'd have to start wearing a helmet when I get that though. I'll probably pass out every time I hold that set up due to it's sheer awesome badassery.

. . . If you get that set up, you'll have to post pictures THE MINUTE YOU get it together!!!!

Nice pics, I think the only 2 things I don't like about the NEA (estheticly) is the rounded edge around the mag release button, I personally like straight lines like the ATRS lower. The other thing is the way they clamped the hand guard to the upper receiver... Very minor thing I know, but I'm kinda picky on these things.

I'm still waiting on picking up an NEA for now, but the positive reports make it tempting to say the least. I think like any new company entering into the market, they'll have some teething issues... It seems to me that a lot of their components are pretty decent, upper and lower receivers, hand guards, barrels seem to have no issues. Just really the LPK parts and the BCG... Maybe I'll build my own...

I fell off the soviet rifle wagon and bought an NEA CQB as well, so far its been a nice little rifle, heavier than i thought though the lack of rails on the sides i find lends it to be more comfortable.
