Nitride/nitron/melonite...where?

Does anyone in Canada still perform nitride finishing for rifles? I know Arma-Coat did but their website seems to be down. Interested in having a rifle done but haven't turned up a place to do it after some google searching.

Be very careful in who you choose, ensure they have solid experience refinishing firearms specifically. I was one of the Guys who sent his VZ-58 rifles to Rauch and I was very disappointed in having my receiver lose temper and turn to mush.

Yes the nitride bath process does not effect the temper of the steel. It's Max bath temp is around 250f and will not harm or damage carbon steel on stainless steel. The nitride bath process is vulnerable to rust on carbon steel though so you must keep it protected with oils

I’ve used these guys for both black oxide and nitride. They are experts but I would be wary of nitriding a high power rifle where I did not know what alloys it was made from.
