Good Day CGN'ers!

I was discussing with a friend of mine the prices and availiability of some types of Enfields. Sadly, I did not have either information to give to him about 3 types of No.1's. If someone could state and explain the prices and Availiability for the following, it would be much appreciated.

1. Lee Enfield No.I Mk.III or III* Australian Lithgow Production 1914-1918

2. Lee Enfield No.I Mk.III* Australian Lithgow Production 1939-1945

3. Lee Enfield No.I Mk.III and III* Canadian Marked 1914-1918 or later

Thank you very much,
Drachenblut

I have a 1918 Lithgow (it's actually a III* strikeout III - it was refitted with the mag cut off) I bought it for about $200, metal's perfect, wood really needs doing. Keep in mind that I live near a veritable Milsurp goldmine, so my access is probably better than most.

Regarding the Canadian-marked SMLE's, while I was fortunate enough to score my 1918 Mk III* for about $300, during my search they seemed to be running (and they didn't turn up all that often) between $450 -$600 for complete, original, matching rifles.

And, enefgee, please provide directions to said "Milsurp goldmine". (send a PM, don't want the whole board to know). I can keep a secret. :D

300$ is a good price for a type 1 mark 3* . if you wind the III with the mag cut off and volley sites prepare for the 600$ range.

1. Lee Enfield No.I Mk.III or III* Australian Lithgow Production 1914-1918.

If you can find one that didn't go throught the FTR process durinmg the outbreak of WWII Places like Kakoda too
thier toll on rifles. I have seen them $300 to $600 depends on condition...

2. Lee Enfield No.I Mk.III* Australian Lithgow Production 1939-1945.

Again, $300 to $600 depends on condition...

3. Lee Enfield No.I Mk.III and III* Canadian Marked 1914-1918 or later.

Most I have seen are 1917 era, they start at $495 and go up, yes there are deal out there. The one I have was 1917 & rebarreled in Canada in 1942 and I am pretty sure the barrel is a Long Branch.
