No.1 MkIII* Barrel Length

My friend has a matching sporterized enfield, that isnt drilled and tapped. What the barrel length is supposed to be, measured from where the knox form meets the receiver?

If it is correct, it might make a good restore project.

Prove firearm safe. Place bolt in receiver and close bolt. Insert cleaning rod into bore from muzzle until it gently makes contact with the bolt face. Mark cleaning rod at muzzle & withdraw. This is how CFC expects you to measure a barrel. Mark should be 25.25" from end of rod for a full length No1 Mk3 or No4 Mk1 barrel if it hasn't been monkeyed with.
