How much can be lopped of a No.4's barrel before ballistics and accuracy are unduely effected?
It's not that I'm looking to improve accuracy, the rifle shoots just fine as is. The problem is it must have been one of bubbas early attempts at gunsmithing. I'm just looking to turn it into a spiffy bush carbine.
I'd image a muzzle break would help to relieve some of that.
Doesn't the barrel lenght do-dad only come into account if it's a semi? I just have to keep the OAL 26" and up.
