no 4 flip up sights yardage?

can someone help me with my no4 mk1 sights please, i just acquired one and i was wondering how many yards the flip sights with the holes are zeroed for, if you look at the rifle from the side profile it looks like an L. The holes seem to be the same size and in the same location on each leaf but im sure someone here can clear this up for me.

I believe one is 300 yards and the other is 600 yards.

That's right. The 300 yard setting is the battle sight, use for anything at the end of the muzzle out to 300 yards. Beyond that, adjust point of aim or switch to the 600 yard setting.

It's was zeroed for 300 yards with the bayonet attached, 400 without the bayonet attached (from the factory).

Before you try to get pinpoint accuracy with the battle sights, remember these were intended to hit soldier sized targets. The point of aim will seem really off when firing at paper bullseyes.
