No 4 Lee Enfield parts???

I've bought parts from the following:

USA
Numrich
Sarco (you have to email them for a quote and they send you an export doc to sign)

UK
Lee Enfield Parts & Militaria

D.S. Solutions Militaria (I have not ordered from them so can't comment)

Buying from a store is an expensive way to go. If buying everything at retail price it is cheaper to just go and buy an original. My last #4 cost me $340 with original parts bought locally over the last few years. I just bought another Fazakerly which is going to be under $400 to rebuild. I enough parts for 3 #4’s and a lot of extra pieces. Not sure how many more I want to rebuild after I finish the three. I may switch back to building #1’s. Forearms and nose pieces are needed for them. I have 8 currently waiting for rebuild. One I was looking at this morning and I plan to splice the stock together under the front band.
I have only found one original #1 forearm in probably 10 years of looking so reproduction ones are likely being used. #4 I can find all original wood pieces.

No4 pieces are easier to find but they they aren't nearly as easy as they were a decade back.

I live in the Interior of BC and most of the old smiths, that would save the hard to find fore ends have gone to the afterlife. I will admit that I picked up much of my stuff from their bits bins. When they passed, much of that stuff was burned for firewood or tossed into the scrap metal bin.

Thanx Paul T, I looked at Sarco last night.

I'm OK for now with No4 bits but they are all slated for builds.

I ordered a No1 stripped receiver from Marstar last night, now I'm on the lookout for a No1 Magazine. Hopefully I will find a decent one in Chilliwack next weekend at the two day show or maybe Kamloops.

Pretty well how I am getting a lot of parts, older fellows selling or from family of them. If you can’t find a mag let me know as I know where a couple are.

The guy in Qc was very hard to deal with...would get back to you...when ever he want to, some people thought his parts where coming from Canadian surplus stock in Montreal( old not to be touched stock Museum quality..etc.) maybe why he hasn't been hear from in a while?
Don't really know, but.. yes when you could get the parts...they were the best around...
The guy in the Yukon...or north Albert area? Can't remember, worked his ass off to get the equipment to make the stock sets , and they were beautiful! Fell sick, and I thought sold everything to someone he knew?
Small world...

There is Bassano Bob, if he is still alive. He moved to Ontario from Alberta a long time ago.

I think I know who you are talking about.
He goes to all the shows in S. Ont
Around here, we call him "Enfield Bob". I don't recall his last name
He's still alive but very thin and gaunt. I think he was pretty sick a while back
I may be able to get his contact info from a friend of a friend kinda thing if anybody wants it

Please, Bassano Bob disappeared with no forwarding information. He had a huge inventory of parts. I would love to speak with him again, after all these years.

I bought a rifle and a bunch of ammo from Bassano Bob at the Calgary Gunshow circa 2001.

Okay, I know Bassano Bob as I met him at shows in ON. He came from Alberta to SW ON about 10 years ago. He wanted to be near family as I believe his health was not going well. One day Hank H from Calgary show came to ON to get his parts.

The gent Enfield Bob mentioned is a different person.

Thank you very much for the clarification. I did find Enfield Bob's name and contact info but didn't know if he was the same guy or not. Bob is a helluva nice guy, very knowledgeable. He always has that one part you need
