I bought this rifle for 50 bucks. The stock has been cut and is in ruff shape and the barrel is very dark and frosted, but good rifling. Over all, Its not nice at all. Any ideas what to do with it?

Have you fired it yet? It could be a good shooter for the range or the bush, or even be a good project rifle. I had one that was cut up pretty bad, barrel was chopped down to 19" and it was rough. A few nights and some spare furniture and we turned it into a 7lb scout rifle.

I agree. Have you thoroughly cleaned the bore? I've seen really bad-looking bores end up not too bad after about 1 hr of cleaning...

Then, finding spare wood is easy. Depends what you want to end up with, but first let's see if it's at least a shooter. Has the barrel been shortened?

Use it for hunting. If you get a few dings on the stock, you won't care.
I had a $40 bubba that I was going to use for that EXACT use, but I ended up finding a full stock for it, so I sold it.

I kept the cut stock though, so if anyone has a barrelled action they want to sell for cheap, I'm your man. :)
