Now that is rifle #### circa 1955. This is 2009, you'll have to show a little more to give us that satisfied feeling. :D

Was this a one off, or is this group or case of them?

Holy Sh*t thats sweet. I have been looking for a new Mk2 for months. If she ever falls out of favor with you, PM me and we will talk:D I have also heard the Irish contract ones are particularly valuable.

nope the Irish contract ones were prone to inaccuracies. In addition the factory grease is highly toxic. You should get rid of it as soon as possible. For a small fee i can dispose of it properly. since your a member in good standing I'll even wave the fee. Just let me give you my PAL # and address....:D

Yes it is the Irish contract. There were very few that were imported by I think Marstar. They do shoot really good and not to worry about the cosmoline a little alchool wipes it clean. I have shot several!

The very best #### you will ever have Ladds!

Worth tons more left in the wrapped state.............Hear me...

If your looking for a shooter, they are out there already unwrapped...

I have to say it, beacuse I saw a young fellow buy one and unwrap it then get a rubber butt pad cut & screwed on......

Oh Sh_t I said, Then I truned away.

It might have been worth a few bucks, but now it has been exposed to the light.......The really valuable ones have only been viewed by x-ray in a hyperbaric chamber...what a waste! does anyone want to buy a brown paper bag? ;^)

I got a No.4 Mk.2 from S.I.R. in 1994 I believe, $179.95 with condition listed as "very nice". It turned out to be a navy rifle, 6/53 PF3091XX. Matching # No.9 bayonet, loaded in cosmoline. It has seen service, but I think it spent 98% of its time in a rack. THE best shooting Lee-Enfield I've ever come across. At the time, the LB No.4 Mk.1* was $179.99, in only "very good" condition.

No. 4 Mk2 - Irish Contract Rifle

This may get moved to the equipment exchange forums, but here goes....

I have one of these, Serial Number 3162XX, for sale in very good condition. Yes, I have shot it and it shoots very well. It will come with a matching #9 bayonet and scabbard. By matching, I mean that the same serial number is found on the rifle, bayonet and scabbard. It was manufactured in January 1954 at Fazakerley. My price is $750 with shipping within the provinces included. If you're interested, please PM me.
