I am considering converting my No 4 mk 2 to the 4 T version. This is not expected to be of exact convert but only to mimic the T version. Does anyone know where I can get the add on portion for the comb to bring the eye to scope level? Can they be made? I know purists will shudder but is the B square scope mount suitable for my plans? Any input will be noted and appreciated.

cheers Darryl

Check with bassanobob on here ..........

He has sold these in the past. They simply need to be re-finished to match your wood color.

~Angel~ got one from him and it looks just like the ones that come on the No.4(T)'s........

Bob's service and reliability are terrific ......

A point to consider. the front mounting pad requires milling the side of the reciever to achieve a flat surface. The pads were also ground after installation in order to properly align the scope with the bore. This is NOT a home project. Better to install one of the no-gunsmithing scope mounts so the rifle can be returned to its original configuration at a later date. You are simply devaluing it if you proceed with a fake mount and a permanent modification.

B Square or S&K mounts are talked about. One is more rugged than the other, but I forget which.

There are venders on ebay who will sell you just about every part you need to replicate a T. The only ones you'll need if you use the mounts above is the cheekrest. Wood or polymer, makes no difference in a copy. You can save money by forgetting about the centre takedown screw sling swivel, unless you know how to loop and swoop your supporting arm through the sling - and intend to shoot enough to do it properly.

I wound caution you that some wretched humper on ebay is flogging surplus fixed power scopes from Carl Gustav RCL anti-tank guns as if they were sniper scopes. He is lying and has been told his descriptions are misleading. But, the rules of ebay can't sanction him, as long as he is vague and unclear.
