Hey everyone,

I've got a sporterized No.4 MK1 that's in great condition and shoots great so I want to make it more authentic by replacing the 'sport' stock with the full military stock.

I was wondering where in Canada seems to be the best place to get a stock from either local, I'm in Manitoba, or elsewhere. I'd prefer to buy from a Canadian source first, provided they are reasonably priced and in decent shape. Barring that I'll go to the states. Speaking of reasonably priced what is a reasonable price for a replacement stock in fair/good condition.

In addition, I like the chin rest idea on the sniper model especially if I put a scope on for hunting. Is it possible to find stocks with the chin rest or would I have to add it on myself.

Thanks in advance for your help.

If you look south, check out BDL Ltd in South Carolina. I just ordered my set and it was $105 shipped, not counting customs expenses. Numrich gun parts, also American, has wood for cheaper but quality may be a little more hit/miss. Posting a WTB ad for Enfield wood either here, or at milsurps dot com, might also be successful.

No.4 stock

Check with Springfield Sporters, they usually have a good supply of Lee Enfield parts , though the stocks will prbably be used and need refinishing with linseed oil .

Been waiting for reply from S.S. regarding same item for about 10 days so far. Lots on eBAY but usually "Ishy screwed" and Pakistani (POF) made which would be ok for a "shooter".

"...like the chin rest..." Cheek rest, not your chin. You'd have to make or otherwise acquire a cheek rest. Epp's has some stock parts, but no full sets.

LMFAO, "chin rest" that would frick'n hurt... I'm a dolt!

I did mean cheek rest, but thanks for pointing it out and making me feel like a moron... :)
