Im once again looking for advice. I am about to begin restoring a no.4 mk.1 that has been FTR'd. My question is, will a normal no.4 mk.1 stock set work?
No difference unless it was up graded with the trigger pinned to the action. Even then the stock can be modified to fit. I acquired a couple of unissued stock sets from 49 that fit the 41 and 42 Savage and Fazakerley with minor fitting of bands.
There were a variety of FTR "versions", from a basic look over and bringing back up to spec. to a full on rebuild and refurbishment to as new condition.
Check out the for end of the gun you seek to restore. Either it is open or closed with a metal band
in the trigger area. Buy the same type as a replacement
