I have found that even with the screw on the front, they aren't that tight. A small ball pein hammer and a brass punch will move it. The tool isn;t that hard to make, mind you. A minute with a dremel on the shaft of an old screwdriver will make the tool up in a minute.
If the rifle is shooting too low, you can file a bit at a time off the front sight blade. If you only have one Enfield, it gets to be kind of expensive trying out the different available sight blades.
