I 'm restoring a formerly bubba'd '45 FAZ No. 5 Jungle Carbine back to its military configuration. The length of pull in my carbine is very short - about 12 5/8 inches from the face of trigger to the end of rubber butt pad. Overall lenght is 39 inches. The stock appears to be in original condition with no signs of having been shortened.
Were all No. 5s made with these short stocks, or were there various standard stock sizes as with the No. 4 rifles? Does anyone in Canada have No. 5 butt stocks (used or new)? I've checked with Numerich in the US and they don't have any in stock.
