I can't figure this gun out. It has a cheapo bushnell 3-9x32 scope on it at the moment.
Anyways there is absolutlely no consistant grouping with different ammo, different people shooting etc.
Did I get a dud made on Monday morning? Any suggestions?

go thru the basics, be sure the scope is on there correctly and firmly, shoot from a rest, start close in and work your way to 50, and when adjusting, only do one thing at a time, fire 5-10 rounds, then adjust again.

Went through the same thing once.Make sure your rings are actually grabbing the rail. I had a defective set of rings once. They felt tight but only one was actually grabbing the groove in the receiver. That was the last time I bought cheap rings. If you have another scope you could also try that.
Scott...

Is the gun not grouping or you can't group with the glass?
Take the glass off and ensure you can group with the irons first. Try the rest/ bench and that way it will rule out the gun. If it's gtg re mount the glass with the right rings and mounts. Hope you get it figured out!

What type of ammo are you using? Hopefully some good, name brand ammo. Stay away from your bulk Thunderbolts etc...

I have tried american eagle, blazers, remington hollow point bucket o bullets and the worst so far seems to be the winchester xpert-hv. Never had the stock mag jam until these bullets...CCI is always sold out.

I had to ry 3 diff win, all kinds of different federal, probably 5 different remignton(all sucked),blazers, fiochhi, and every kind of cci imaginable.it loves 36 gr mini mags followed by win 555, cci blaser and then cci sv. Some rimfires need lots of experimenting. Like others said I shot first with irons then went onto a scope with the best ones. Once I did that I slapped a red dot on and grouse, rabbits and pop cans have been living in fear ever since.

In the red box, is my grouping with my Takedown, with an el-cheapo Bushnell Scope @ 25yrds. I have since replaced the ElCheapo Bushnell with a Simmons 22 Mag Scope, but haven't had a chance to hit the range to sight it in yet..

I have had it in a strap in rest and it's still all over the place. Scope can't be tightened anymore?

My ElCheapo needed thin rubber straps put in between the rings & the scope to keep it tight..

Check that your takedown screw in the stock is tight. You will get fliers if it is loose.

I didn't even think to check that. It was fairly loose. Also the adjustment knob wasn't tightened up enough. Hopefully this will help out next time I get out...

I'll have to check that on mine as well.. I thought my scope was FUBAR, because everytime I took the gun a part, and carried it in the bag, and put it back together, the sights were off by about an inch.

I have since replaced my ElCheapo Bushnell with a Simmons 22 mag.
