No Cleaning between shots with a Blow Tube

It depends on the throat of the gun and how tight a fit the slug is, whether or not you have to clean between shots. The blowing softens the fouling and presumably helps accuracy. Most people use a piece of 1/2" plastic tubing as a blow tube, others such as me use a piece of copper pipe with a bit of a bend in it. You have about 6 minutes for 5 shots and as long as you are organized that is long enough.
In a muzzle loader it would soften the fouling but on trail walks where you are firing 25 or 30 shots, you also normally use a water based patch lube and that more or less wipes the bore with each loading. Coarse powders and greasy lubes will dramatically increase fouling and probably force you to clean every few shots.

Blow tubes do work especially on the firing line in a B/P match. You need to make one using copper tubung braized to an empty casing as you want the hot moist breath to go into the bore and not the chamber.

Use an empty cartridge & drill out the primer pocket with a 1/4" drill, solder or epoxy a piece of copper tubing or a ribbed brass fitting. Add some plastic tubing & you are good to go.
I use mine when shooting B.P. loads in my Browning 1885 BPCR. Simply insert it into the breech after you remove the empty shell. Take a deep breath & blow through the tube for a few seconds. It's amazing how this enables a fresh cartridge to be easily seated. Without using it I encounter a lot of resistance from the hard powder fouling. This keeps the fouling soft
Always breath in before putting the tube in your mouth, you don't want to inhale the crappy gasses from the barrel.

The warm damp air from your lungs caused by"huffing" down the barrel with a blowtube is effective if used with the proper Black powder lubricant, they work together to keep fouling moist and definately not recommended for muzzleloaders as it would put moisture in barrel that would be hard to get out!
