No CZ walnut for Canada?!

Where are you seeing NEW 453's for sale???

Epps had two new 453 Varmints 22LR on their Website about 3 weeks ago for $600. Watch their site and you might get lucky.
P&D has a 453 American 22LR right now for $815!!! I guess 453 Americans are hard to come by now a days but that's a huge price difference between both retailers on similar CZ models within a very short time frame.

I talked to one of our sponsors when I noticed they had a new 452 on the shelf.

They told me that the Canadian Distributor is selling enough that they can order discontinued product and they will make it for them.

Sounded reasonable, its not like they throw out the tooling when they decide to change models.

I have also seen 453s at Epps (where I got mine) recently. The also have a CZ woodcock, which is listed as discontinued on the CZ site as well...just got it in.

Hope that means they will order the Walnut in, pretty sure it's a seller here in Canada

Whittaker's in the usa puts in a custom order of ~500pcs so no idea why someone in Canada couldn't.

There is a good sized market for 452 American 22LR in walnut across Canada; not sure why we are getting them in cheap beech. When I tried to order a walnut stocked American 22LR from one of our sponsor, he was told by the Canadian distributors that "there was no plan at CZ to have this configuration produced in 2015". Well, dear distributors, let's make a change and order some from CZ! They were able to pull it off for a single retailer (Whittaker Guns) in the US, for sure they could pull it off for Canada.
Also lets get a decent Canadian website going where we can purchase spare parts, stocks and replacement barrel kits for our CZs (like "scaled down" CZUSA would work...).

And their last order for 452 americans was only for 500 guns. *gasp*

I wouldn't call beech cheap.

It has a tendency to be harder than walnut, which technically is a better wood for the purpose.

That's a fair comment. I have a Scout and a 512 in beech and both stocks are more durable than if made of walnut, they just don't look as good.

There is a good reason why a beech stocked 452 Trainer retails for less than a walnut stocked 452 LUX (...or a 455 Standard in beech is cheaper than a walnut stocked 455 Lux).

The reason is there are still vast stands of beech, not so with walnut.... as always, supply and demand, dictate the price.

There is nothing ugly about beechwood. My CZ 452 Ultra Lux has beechwood stock and it is absolutely gorgeous with its long barrel.

That's a very good point. Where can you find CZ parts in Canada? In the US they can order parts from the CZ USA site. The 455, for example, has interchangeable barrels; it would be nice if we could buy them readily in Canada.

Here's my butt ugly European Beechwood stocked Danish M69...
