I don't get it. I'll admit I don't have millions of deer around but have seen the odd track, and deer. Even some on camera. My acre of wild turnips stays largely untouched
maybe they would like it latter on in the year?
Deer usually won't get into the turnips until colder weather/snow sets in.

Turnips almost taste like a radish until you get a couple of good frosts, then they get really sweet and start popping out of the ground. Thats when the deer will start pounding them. I have planted turnips a couple of times in the past and that has been my experience anyhow!
