I knew this would happen some time ! No extra tags in almost all Ontario for the muzzy season.Unless you've got a tag not filled for the shotgun hunt thats the only way you'll be out for the muzzy season.Extra tag in my area are for bow only and bucks only as well.

here in sask we can get one eather ### and two antlerless whitetail tages. the rest we have to be drawn for. but you can buy an archery mulie tag. so excited to go for mulies this year with the bow. already have 3 bucks patterend pretty good. the a shame about the no extra tags. i have some family in ont and they said they havent seen as many deer in the past couple of years as they have been seeing in the past.

Funny thing is, there are 2 MZ seasons, a 1 week rifle season, bow season, but no tags.
So what happens is this - anyone who gets an "extra" tag for somewhere else uses it up first and then comes to 82B for the 2nd MZ season in December and uses their "Buck tag" that everyone gets when they buy a lic.
Would it not be better to cancel the 2nd season? The MNR guy around here needs his nead looked at.

Manitoba cancelled the doe tags for most of the province 2 years ago. This year they got rid of muzzle and archery tags. Just one tag now good for any season,hopefully the herds bounce back quickly but I'm not too optimistic.
