A friend of mine gave me some rcbs dies in. 45 acp and 357 mag that he found at a garage sale. However the dies have had the flaring mandrels removed and were not included. I see I can order new ones from rcbs but I was wondering if they were removed for a reason? Does anyone reload these rounds with out first flaring the case to seat the bullets?
