I'm lookin to upgrade my Bushnell yardage pro 450 range finder. It was made in 07 and does not sport very good glass. It's so dim I can't really use it until well passed legal shooting light and by then the deer are already moving

The primary use is for archery hunting so I'm looking for a very simple clear easy to operate one handed range finder but I'm having trouble finding one that's so basic.
Does anyone know of a simple basic range finder that's clear and accurate from 5 to 100 yards?

I got a Bushnell 1700 last year on EE for ca $200. The Bs have several 'functions' you may never want . . . until you need 'em. I'd check there first, the B-1800 are $330 + tax.

Bought mine on Amazon, no issues

I also grabbed a cheapo Amazon RF that goes out to 700y. Tested to 600y on a steel plate. Red Illumination is what sold me on it at first and the cheap price because I wasn’t sure what route to go. I’m glad I did because every few months Sig, Vortex and the rest keep upgrading their models to meet consumer demand. By next year it’ll probably be Inter grated into the bow itself. Most range finders only have 2 buttons so I’m not sure how more basic your looking for? Reticle’s May also sway you. One of the best cheapest ones I’ve used was a Tasco from 6-8 years ago that only went out to 300y. Good glass and a great Box Reticle so you could actually see what you were trying to range vs having the reticle Over the target.

Also, the rangefinder I went with is rechargeable. I didn’t want to have to buy batteries. Having to feed eotechs, surefires and stream lights I did not want to have to add more CR123’s to my shopping as it is.

I would shop classifieds for any leica handhelds, even the early crf-1600's are awesome, bet there's some great deals on them these days.

Leica.

For my first and only rangefinder, I made the mistake of buying a cheaper Nikon and am now stuck with it, due to budget constraints.

I should have purchased a Leica for more money. Having used a friends Leica, it appears better in all respects.
