Needless to say, I'm phucking pizzed!!!! Last week we had a 'work day' at the camp. 4 of the 6 members present. Afterwards I get told that I am not allowed to hunt this year during the first week because I have not been jabbed. They told me via email and voicemail, couldn't even bother to talk to me in person while they were there.. The other remaining members have all bought the bs19 propaganda hook line and sinker. One of them is absolutely paranoid about it. Believes every goddamn thing being reported on CBC... He left me a rather insulting voicemail the following day telling me I'm the misled fool for not getting this garbage injected into me and that by not doing so I put everyone else at risk. Yet he is failing to realize that he is more at risk now than I am. He is the kind that will not believe anything that contradicts all the bull#### that the msm has been driving down everyones throat for the last 2 years. No point in even trying to debate anything with him.

All this comes AFTER the girlfriend and I have spent the last several months going there and doing all the work and cleaning around the camp that has been neglected for the last 30 years. The place has not been this clean in a very long time. And I am not exaggerating. The GF spent a solid week in there going over every square inch, every cupboard, drawer, every dish, utensil, pot pan.. all of it, everything. Cleaning up decades worth of dust, dirt, mouse sh1t. Not a single one of the other members has lifted a finger in at least 2 years to help with anything around there with the exception of a couple hours of trail clearing. For the last 3 years I have been doing the vast majority of the grunt work... With the exception of my dad, not a single one of them even thanked her for all the work she did.

Other stuff happened that I won't bother going into, but needless to say that when we left after the weekend she was so pi$$ed off that she collected all of the items she had brought to the camp, for the camp, items she purchased and donated, and took it all home. She even considered spending the night undoing everything she had done, put all the filth back in.... I got so angry at everything that happened, the treatment received, the ignorance displayed, the lack of thanks that after a couple of days I decided I was done with that place for this year, and perhaps completely. I went back and collected all of my personal belongings, went around took down all of the cameras. I don't own a truck so I can only get in so far with my car and have to walk the last 600 yards or so. It took me 3 trips with everything loaded into my back pack, a 115L pack at that, and carrying the larger items. A few things I still have to get because I was out of time and energy to bother. All of my hunting stuff in now packed away in a storage locker. No idea at this point if I will ever need it again..... This bs19 and jab sh1t is really phucking up a lot peoples lives. I am getting to the breaking point with it....

Rant off..

Just curious to who owns the camp?

How the dispersion of membership works.

Because if they don't want to be around an unvaxxinated person, they should stay home.

It's a two week gun season.... maybe split the weeks?

It is too bad you couldn't engage in debate - not about to vaxx or not as it seems you and the other guy have your minds made up. But you can debate other things that may be relevant to everyone's peace of mind.
Last year we had 10 guys in the camp, all unvaxx, because there were no vaxx, and the inside limit was 10. We knew the risks and made decisions accordingly. So I agree the presence of vaxx now shouldn't change everything.
If a person is severely imuno compromised or paranoid, perhaps they should stay at home, because the vaxx doesn't stop you from spreading or getting covid.
You can ask people to spend more time outside, spread out in the camp, or even bring a camper for the guy who hates sharing space. Camp politics should not force people to quit, and if the camp is important to you, have another go at the discussion.

Or just proportional representation...6 guys...you get 1 day a week!
They should have manned up and told you to your face... not everyone is wired that way though.

friends or not?
We have all known each other for decades.

Just curious to who owns the camp?

The camp is a crown land lease, has been established as a hunt camp for several decades. The 6 members own/lease it. The longest serving member has been there since the '60s. My dad has been a member since the '80s. I have been going there since I was a kid. Bought my share 3 years ago when it became available.

How the dispersion of membership works.

6 equal shares

Because if they don't want to be around an unvaxxinated person, they should stay home.

That's my thought as well..

I can't hunt the second week. Or the first week either now...

Covid or no covid, sounds like you are not welcome.
Volunteer work or contributions are just that, when things disolve, you lose.

The closest I've ever been to a camp is watching 'Deer Hunter'... regional thing I suppose.
I'm guessing I'm not gonna be asked any time soon...so won't get a chance to say ' No thanks '
Good luck BTW

It's been made crystal clear.

'If you arent going to get vaccinated you WILL NOT be there when we are there. There will be no debate on this. End of discussion! If you want to complain about it, take it somewhere else!'

That was the end of the voicemail he left me....

They could at least have given you the option of being tested 48 hours before arriving for the hunt. Negative test, no problem. As far as that goes, they all should get tested.
A negative test is more reassuring than being double vaxxed.

Sorry to hear of your troubles.

I'd be tempted to show up anyway and tell them if they wanted to steer of the place that you bought and paid a share for, they'd be welcome to. I might even leave my guns and hunting equipment home, just show up with a stack of books and inform them I was going to hang around the place for a few days and relax and read.

Or I'd go out and find the dirtiest bugger I knew of and sell the share to him.

if its true about the possible side effects of the jab , then in a couple years they wont be in very good health and you will have camp all to yourself.
