This thread is no longer relevant... A gunsmith has replied to my need.


Brownells Inc sell a length of 3/8 inch dovetail filler and I have some on back order... still waiting...for awhile now...

If anyone has some of this material (Right now I need 1.5 inches to finish 2 projects) I would be glad to purchase...

Well you could get bar stock in closest size and take some tools at it?

I suspect that since Guntech is a gun smith, he could do that but it would be cost-prohibitive (his time=money) to make one-off fillers with the correct dovetail angles (the most tidiest part, compared to just finishing the profile to a barrel).

Making dovetail filler strip is only half the fight, getting a decent fit on the taper that was used to cut the dovetail can be a PITA.
